Britney Spears Approves Ex-Husband Kevin Federline’s Plan to Relocate Their Children to Hawaii

Date:

In a surprising turn of events, pop icon Britney Spears has given her consent to her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s request to move their two sons to Hawaii. Kevin’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, confirmed the news, revealing that their children, seventeen-year-old Jaden and sixteen-year-old Sean Preston, will soon be residing with Kevin and their stepmother, Victoria Prince, on the picturesque islands.

According to Kaplan, the proposed move presents an opportunity for Kevin and his wife to escape the constant scrutiny of Los Angeles and give the boys a chance to live away from the prying eyes of the media. Britney’s attorney, Matthew Rosengar, reportedly conveyed her agreement in a letter dated May 31st, obtained by Entertainment Tonight and Page Six.

In the letter, Rosengar emphasized that Britney has no intentions of impeding Kevin’s request and expressed her consent, which came approximately two weeks after Kaplan initially sent the relocation proposal. However, Rosengar criticized Kaplan for making the matter public, deeming it “undignified, ungracious, and unnecessary.”

Responding to Rosengar’s comments, Kevin’s lawyer, Kaplan, stated, “I responded to Mr. Rosengar about how I feel about that, and I am not going to involve myself in an involuntary pen pal relationship with him.” Kaplan further expressed Kevin’s satisfaction and eagerness to proceed with the move, acknowledging the extensive planning required for such a transition.

Highlighting the legal aspect of the situation, Kaplan emphasized that despite Kevin having sole legal custody and de facto physical custody of the children for the past fifteen months or more, the law still necessitates obtaining the consent of the other co-parent. With Britney’s endorsement, Kevin is now poised to execute the relocation.

This latest development adds another chapter to the ongoing legal and personal saga surrounding Britney Spears, who has been fighting to regain control of her life and affairs through the #FreeBritney movement. While the approval of Kevin Federline’s relocation plan indicates a step forward in their co-parenting relationship, the public remains invested in Britney’s overall well-being and her ongoing legal battles.
