Is Dwayne Johnson Gay

Last updated on January 9th, 2023 at 07:03 am

As far as we know, Dwayne Johnson is not gay. The actor has never spoken publicly about his sexual orientation, and there is no indication that he is anything other than heterosexual.

He however has never shied off from taking up gay roles in movies. In 2005 Johnson’s character in Be Cool was Eliot, an openly gay Samoan man who worked as a bodyguard in the music industry and had dreams of being a star himself.

Dwayne Johnson or “The Rock” as he is popularly known has now revealed that in those early days of his acting career, he was advised by some “influential” industry people to avoid playing gay, as it could “ruin” his chances of getting bigger movie roles.

He shared his story after his Out cover story from the Be Cool press tour resurfaced online. In typical Johnson fashion, he recalled “nicely” telling those industry folks to “f*** off.”

Dwayne Johnson is one of the nicest and down to earth celebrities in Hollywood.

He has been married twice and has several children. In 1997, he wed Dany Garcia with whom he has a daughter Simone. The couple later divorced in 2008. He remarried in 2019 to Lauren Hashian with whom he has two daughters Jasmine and Tiana.

Dwayne Johnson’s parents divorced when he was just a baby. His mother then moved the family to New Zealand where she remarried. Dwayne Johnson has said that he had a difficult childhood and was often bullied during his school years, since he moved around a lot and was always the ‘new-kid”. He was teased for being overweight.

In 1996, Dwayne Johnson was signed by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). He made his debut as “The Rock” and quickly became one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWF. He won several championships during his time with the WWF/WWE including the WWE Championship.
