Mark Wahlberg is the latest celebrity to join the growing list of people leaving California.
The actor announced on “The Talk” CBS that he would be leaving Hollywood California to give his kids a better life and allow them to pursue their dreams.
““I want to be able to work from home. I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there,” he said. “So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams, whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.” Wahlberg said.
Mark Wahlberg is moving to Nevada where he plans to open a state of the art studio and also a factory of his shoe company.

“I really feel like I don’t want the Democratic Party trying to run my life. And there’s not one aspect of your life that they don’t want to interfere with. I had it with them,” Schneider said. “So I got out of California and moved to the slightly freer state of Arizona.”

The high cost of living, traffic, and crime are some of the reasons that celebrities have cited for leaving the state.
California Less Friendly To Businesses
In recent years, California has become increasingly unfriendly to businesses.
The state has the highest taxes in the nation and is constantly passing new regulations that make it difficult for businesses to operate.
As a result, many businesses have left the state, taking jobs and tax revenue with them.
This has been a major factor in the state’s growing budget deficit.
Nevada is one of the states without a personal income tax, which makes it much more attractive to businesses and wealthy individuals.
High Cost of Living
The cost of living in California is also much higher than in most other states.
Housing costs are sky-high, and the state has some of the highest gas prices in the country.
This makes it difficult for residents, especially those on fixed incomes, to make ends meet.
Traffic
The traffic in California is also notoriously bad.
The state has some of the worst traffic congestion in the country, and it’s only getting worse.
This makes it difficult for people to get to work or go about their daily lives.
California Also Has a Crime Problem
The state has one of the highest rates of violent crime in the country with shoplifting, car theft, and burglary being some of the most common crimes.
Shoplifting is so rampant because state law holds that stealing merchandise worth less than $950 is only a misdemeanor offense.
As a result, many criminals view California as a state where they can commit crimes without facing serious consequences.
This makes it difficult for residents to feel safe in their own homes and especially those with families.
Many celebrities have cited it for leaving the state.
All of these factors have made California increasingly unpopular with celebrities and businesses alike.
Many are now leaving the state in search of greener pastures.
Wahlberg’s move is sure to add fuel to the fire in the debate over whether or not California is still a place where people can pursue their dreams.
